While my children were young I trained as a teacher and a community worker, became a passionate rock climber and for the past 25 years have traveled to many exciting and beautiful places around the world, pursuing my own mountaineering ambitions to a very high level and guiding others on their own personal adventures in wild and remote places.
Recently I have moved to live in Reykjavik although I have had a close connection with Iceland for many years, first coming here as a mountain guide with English groups in 1992. Since this time I have spent a large part of each year exploring some of the wild and wonderful places of the Iceland.
Around two years ago in India a friend gave me a small book about the Enneagram and I was instantly hooked! Upon returning to Iceland I set about finding more information, or maybe somebody who could teach me more about this fascinating subject… I could find neither book nor teacher! Following extensive research on the internet I came across Enneagram Worldwide and decided to certify as one of their teachers. My aim is to introduce the wisdom of the Enneagram to Iceland. In January 2009 I completed the first two parts of the training and I hope to certify in the UK, October 2009.
From my own perspective, knowledge of the Enneagram has allowed me to look deeply into my own character and has given me a greater depth of understanding into my relationships with clients, colleagues, family and friends. For an in depth description visit Enneagram Worldwide
Lastly, I would like to apologize to all Icelanders reading this site. At the moment I do not speak Icelandic. It is my hope that as more local people become involved they will perhaps feel inspired to develop their own Enneagram knowledge and hopefully go forward to teach others in their own language. I would be happy to come and give a free introductory talk to any community group providing I am able to speak in English.
